Jammu Kashmir’s Main Attractions Gulmarg -

Gulmarg is a renowned centre for the world's highest golf course. Khilanmarg provides breathtaking views of the parallel peaks of the Himalayas. November to February is the ideal season for Skiing in Gulmarg. The slopes ranging from 8,700 to 10,500 feet make it favorite among the skiers. It is the only heli-skiing resort in Asia as well. The newly built Gondola Lift cable car is another feature that gives you an opportunity to have an exciting view of the pine clad slopes from a height. Gulmarg-Khilanmarg-Apharwat-Alpather is an exciting trekking route for the adventure seekers.

Ziarat of Baba Reshi is a pilgrimage where both Hindu and Muslims make offerings. Gulmarg Bioreserve, 48 km from Srinagar, is famous for retaining some of the rare and endangered species such as the musk deer, and a rich and varied avifauna.

Pahalgam-

This is the most beautiful hill resort in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Also known as the shepherd's village, Pahalgam also lets you the wonderful opportunity to see large herds of sheep and goats grazing over the vast landscapes on the hills. Gardens of Chashma Shahi: Famous for its fresh water spring with medicinal properties, this garden was established by the famous Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.

Nishat Bagh: Dotted with beautiful Chinnar trees and flowers, this garden is truly a visual delight. And one of its interesting features is its twelve terraces representing twelve Zodiac signs.
Pari Mahal: At one point of time Pari Mahal served as a Buddhis Monastery, now it is a beautiful garden, observatory and a school of astrology.

Dal Lake-

Dal Lake in Kashmir is one of the most fascinating lakes in India. Its exceptional charm attracts tourists from across the globe. It has been a source of inspiration for many a poet. It is the second largest lake in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Located in close area of the lake are the blooming Mughal-era gardens teeming with a wide variety of beautiful and colorful flowers.
